While the movie doesn't waste too muc h time getting started, the few minutes in the beginning are a bit wackier than some fans (myself included) are used to. It features the first appearance of the popular villain Broly, as well as his lesser-known father Paragus. If you're a Dragonball Z fan you will like this movie, it has all the energy blasts and fighting fans of the series have come to expect and enjoy.Īs the movies partially follow parallel to the series, the only time it would make sense for this movie to take place is during the 10 day wait before the Cell Games as Goku is still alive and Gohan is a Super Saiyan. The American version that we have here is a big improvement, it's the exact same movie just remastered and made to modern standards. But even that way the movie itself was pretty good. The first time I saw this movie was in a low-quality Japanese original that was dubbed over to english.
